WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

New Books for Adults: “The Best Laid Lies” by Laura Honken (local author) and “The Hawke Method” by Erik Huberman and the Hawke Media Team

New DVDs: “Belfast”, “The Matrix: Resurrections”, “All Creatures Great & Small” (Season 2), “Coming 2 America” and “Yellowstone” (Season 4)

Leprechaun in the Library: There’s a leprechaun in the Nobles County Library in Worthington! Mr. Lucky O’Leprechaun will leave a clue of where to find him on Wednesday mornings for the month of March. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and at the library’s front desk for the clue! Once you find Mr. Lucky O’Leprechaun, return him to the front desk to receive your prize: A $5 coupon for our Book Sale. There is only one coupon per week; patrons can only win once. Good luck and have fun!

Winter Reading Program: The Winter Reading Program ends next week. All participants who read at least 12 books, ebooks or audiobooks should return the completed punch card by March 31 for a prize. The grand prize drawing is April 4. (Must be 16 or older to participate.)

Science Fiction/Fantasy Monthly Book Club: The next meeting is from 6 to 7 p.m. April 13. We’ll discuss how each book connects to the theme of the month and what we liked/disliked about the book. Call 295-5340 or e-mail nobleslib@co.nobles.mn.us to sign up.

Registration requested at the library or by calling 295-5340. Students are responsible for their own ride to and from the library, and should be picked up by 5 p.m.

  • Monday: No programs.
  • Tuesday: After-School Program (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Storytime for toddlers and preschoolers, 10 to 11 a.m.; Wii U for Grades 5-9, after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • Thursday: After-School Program (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • March 28: Just Gurlz for girls in grades 5-9, after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • March 29: After-School Program (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Tournament of Books: March Madness is happening right now at the Nobles County Library in Worthington! If you are in fifth-12th grade, stop by the library each week to vote for your favorite book to win! Your vote is your drawing ticket for a chance to win a weekly prize.

The Tournament of Books is located in the Teen Room behind the front desk.

Screen-Free Saturdays: The Adrian Branch library hosts Screen-Free Saturdays every Saturday through May 21 (excluding holiday weekends). Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to get out of the house and come play games from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the library. Bring your favorite board game or play one available at the library.
